BR Logo

I did not know this. The diagonal lines on the BR logo are not parallel. They taper outwards so they “look right”.

What’s the sculpture?

On a recent visit to Ashton Court I was reminded of this piece of bronze art that was on display at the front of the mansion building.

There wasn’t anything that I could see that said more about the art, so no idea about the title or the sculptor?

What’s the sculpture?

I quite like it though.

Gromit Unleashed 2020

So 2020 sees another trail featuring Aardman’s characters from Wallace and Gromit. This one though is much shorter and all the sculptures are at the Mall at Cribbs Causeway.

Before lockdown we managed to find them all within a couple of hours.

Alex the Lion was in the 2018 trail and was one of my favourite sculptures that year and I think Gromit works very well as a lion.

Alex the lion is a character from the Madagascar films.

The Wensleydale Kid was part of the 2018 trail and was up at the Clifton Observatory.

Complete with hat, this cowboy themed Wallace looks a lot like Woody from Toy Story.
